Unacast: New Product Design

Unacast gathers and contextualizes localization data in a platform and offers data packages to customers.

This project consisted of improving the visual design of the application that shows all the data packages of Unacast, as well as proposing an UI where the packages displayed are adapted to specific users and their user tasks.

Anna was hired to make improvements to the UI design of Unacast’s data portal. She made proposals for page structure, navigation and visualisations for the various data packages. She also created a style guide and a component library with key components. In the process, she used Figma and actively collaborated with lead designer, product owner and front end on the project. The result was a new and improved application design that gave a much clearer overview of which data packages each individual user has purchased and what they can be used for.

In addition to this, Anna was given a task to design an interactive example of how the data packages can be applied in analyses. The result was an interactive infographic that showed the optimal location of a restaurant based on various criteria that could be switched on and off.
