About the client
Ferdia is a digital ecosystem for private bus companies. Their product portfolio consists of various applications for booking and managing buses.
In this project a UX designer from MARQ designed the UI of two new applications, linking their existing TEQ platform to new bus companies (BusNetwork) and end customers (BusBusiness).
Anna was hired for this task as a UX designer. For this project she created user journeys, UI and specified interaction design for the two web apps. In addition to this, Anna chose to develop a new style guide, tokens and components for these for the applications that were universally designed according to the WCAG requirements. The result was intuitive and simple applications that fulfilled the most important user tasks for the user groups. BusBusiness was launched for many tour operators that had previously only contacted their bus company thorough phone. Several of these tour operators order hundreds of trips a month, and can now easily do this digitally. BusNetwork now makes it possible for many small bus companies to connect onto Ferdia’s ecosystem and run trips for the big companies, which increases flexibility for the big bus companies in the way they are handling orders.
BusNetwork
The BusNetwork project consisted of creating a planning application for small bus companies that want to transition into using digital tools for planning. The application enables bus companies to work together through subcontracting and sharing bus orders.
BusBusiness
For BusBusiness Anna created the UI and interaction design of an order application aimed at company representatives. The application enables a user to send an order to a bus company, as well as getting real time details and information about the bus.
